The Full Story
Coming from Alexandria, LA ; A.J Felton started making music in 2001/02. Producing hip hop and rap music, A.J's songs are based on honest experiences and are all about storytelling. He has performed in numerous shows including Crunkfest in Louisiana, the "Power and Plugs" tour with DJ Ya Boy Earl, Juneteenth festivals, and several SXSW shows. He's shared stages with Trae the Truth, Z-Ro, C-Note, Dee-1, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Zoey Dollaz, Skippa Da Flippa, Bodega Brothers, and more. His shows are more intimate yet energized due to his power-packed performance style where his fans love to chant his lyrics and sing with him. Headkrack from the Rickey Smiley Morning show, DJ Ya Boy Earl, DJ Speedy Tee of Kiss 98.7, DJ Joe Young and more have cosigned A.J. Felton and his music.
After his mother passed in 2005, Felton adopted a more honest style in his raps. The release of his first official project, Get Down or Lay Down Vol. 1 hosted by DJ Indeed and Young Hustlaz gave him the fire to keep moving forward. Over the years A.J. has released I Just Wanna Rap, I Just Wanna Rap Vol. 2, Just Because Vol. 1, Statement Music Vol. 1 & 2, all solid projects embraced by his core fans. He then released Just Because Vol. 2 in Summer 2020. He's recently been releasing singles which include, "A Part of Me" and "My Reaction" featuring Bars and Jay WillSpecial, in addition to working on a new project, Statement Music 3, slated for release in 2021.
Felton is more than just an artist, he's an upstanding individual that also gives back to his community. Not only is he a hero on the stage but he's one off the stage as well. He's associated with S.O.B Project in Fort Worth, TX while also contributing his time and talents to AEX Creatives, an organization centered around giving back to the children in his hometown community.
